MAN WILL JET SKI NON-STOP FROM KEY WEST, FLORIDA TO NEW YORK CITY!
Hoby Paulk will ride, eat and sleep on the ski
until he reaches his destination to spread the message:
HELP YOUR NEIGHBOR!
Key West, FL (October 25, 2004) Hoby Paulk, 44, will attempt his fourth jet ski ride beginning November 6th going non-stop from Key West to New York City. Paulk, who has been in the media worldwide the past two years has already accomplished the impossible on a jet ski. Last year, Paulk lived on a ski riding off the coast of California for more than 32 days to benefit a children's charity. He has ridden in the past for Feed the Children and other worthy causes. He is one of the best known Jet Ski riders in the world who has selflessly committed his life to help this cause.
This latest ride will take him over 1,600 miles, heading from the warmth of the beaches of Florida to the cold waters of New York City. The ride will take him approximately 12 days to complete. Paulk feels that it is important for him to ride now with the message of "Help Your Neighbor," sending the message that each and every one of us CAN make a difference in the world around us by helping and treating each other with kindness and caring uniting under this message. The significance of the route from Florida to New York is that both locations have witnessed major devastation in the recent past, the hurricanes in Florida and 9/11 in New York. Paulk strongly feels that all of us together CAN change the world for the better, but we all have to go out and be willing to make personal sacrifices for the betterment of others.
Paulk is planning on many more rides in 2005 and the years to come that he hopes will take him around the globe, spreading the message of helping others. Paulk is hoping this message gets spread to people everywhere and he will continue his mission until he feels he has succeeded. Follow Hoby's progress here and in the media.
These rides are done purely on private donations. Donations can be made by visiting our "How You Can Help" page.
